Is Meta AI in WhatsApp already using Spark?

Partly, and it depends where you are. Meta's own announcements confirm Muse Spark started powering Meta AI in the US in April 2026. Meta said it would "bring them to more countries and surfaces, including WhatsApp, in the coming weeks." A July 2026 update repeated the same language — more countries, WhatsApp included, "in the coming weeks" — without naming which ones.

Media reports say Meta AI's voice conversations in India already support Spark-level responses in English, Hindi, and Bengali. What's still unclear: whether WhatsApp text chat in India — or in other countries — has made the same switch. We haven't found an official country-by-country list, and Meta hasn't published one.
